About Floy Daun
Everyone experiences miracles in their lives. Sometimes we recognize them as they happen. Sometimes we don't recognize them until years later. Sometimes we don't recognize them at all, such as when we are prompted to take a turn we hadn't planned on, and will never know that by doing so, we avoided a serious accident. As I have written the life stories of my grandparents, parents, husband and brother I have been humbled by the constant overshadowing of our lives by a loving Father in Heaven. The purpose of this blog is to bless me to remember the miracles in my life, and hopefully to bless other to recognize the miracles in their lives--and to write them down for their children and grandchildren. “Ask”
I love this story. It strengthens my testimony. The names have been changed and any errors are my own. “ASK” High School graduation was just a few weeks away, and the seniors would soon be leaving to attend different universities … Continue reading →
Where Love and Mercy Meet
Although I know of this experience myself, I recount it from the perspective of one who was a teenager at the time, who was so profoundly and forever affected by it, that as he spoke about it, I could sense … Continue reading →
In The Right Time
This is a story about Richard Myers, his father, Gar, a chance meeting at a mall, and the Lord’s way of seeing that all is done in the right time, whether protracted, or immediate. IN THE RIGHT TIME I met … Continue reading →
The Woman on the Bridge
This is Peggy Davis’ story. I am touched by the sequence of events: the elderly couple on a 3 hour boat trip, the delightful 10 year old girl, the loving welcoming of Peggy and Tony, and most of all, by … Continue reading →
A New Beginning For The New Year
I love this story on so many levels. It is taken from my brother, Roy’s, personal history. I wanted to post it today because it has a lovely New Year’s message. A NEW BEGINNING FOR THE NEW YEAR I met … Continue reading →
Mr. Schultz’s Theory
Since it’s football season I thought you might enjoy this true story about a coach from my High School. It’s related by my brother, Roy. I am posting it because I needed a smile, and thought you might like to … Continue reading →
What Would Happen On Monday
Heavenly Father blesses us wherever we are. A very grateful father shared this experience in our Gospel Doctrine class. Names have been changed. WHAT WOULD HAPPEN ON MONDAY One day the unthinkable happened. My beautiful, vibrant, intelligent little daughter was … Continue reading →
